First Labor Day Celebration Program
Witt, Illinois, September 3, 1906

9:30 a.m. ........... Parade led by prof. Falletti's famous Brass and Reed Band, followed by visiting delegations, floats, speakers in carriages, horribles and other interesting features. Prizes given for the best horribles and floats.

10.00 a.m. ......... Speaking, Judge Amos Oller, the Champion of Labor of Litchfield will make an address and Father E.A. Brodmann, Rector of St. Barbara's Catholic Church will also deliver an address appropriate for the occasion.

12:00 ................. None

1:00 p.m. ........... Association Foot Ball Game between two picked English Witt teams.

2:00 p.m. ........... Baseball Game between the Witt Sluggers and the Old Lynch Ryes of St. Louis. This will be an interesting contest as both teams are strong ones. A greased pig will be turned loose immediately after the game.

4:00 p.m. ........... Athletic Events, open to all conpetitors.
Tug-of-War, nine man team, $9 to the winning side.
240 yard dash, first $3, second $2
100 yard dash, first $3, secnod $2
Wheelbarrow Race, with competitors blindfolded, for fifty yards
and return. First $3, second $1
Quoit Match, 25 cents entrance fee, 15 years and younger, fifty nails to be driven in a board. First $2, second $1.

6:00 p.m. ............ Supper

7:00 p.m. ............ Grand Band Concert on Broadway by Prof. Falleti's Brass and Reed Band, that has made Witt famous for its concerts. There will also be a platform dance, and other pleasing features in the evening.
